Concept Statement
Ride the Cyclone is about 6 children who died while riding the Cyclone rollercoaster at the Wonderville Amusement Park. These children then compete for chance to return to life in the Amazing Karnaks game, where they must convince the other members to vote for their revival.
It feels distressed, cold, and ominous, but also comedic.
Therefore, the lighting design will support the abandoned, other-worldy space we are in using colder tones, textures to support the distressed nature, and unnatural angles. The lighting will also create aesthetics unique to each child's bumper and song.
Karnak’s Game
Set in a abandoned, other-worldly carnival, I used lighting with cool tones to set a cold, mysterious tone for the audience. We remain in this cold world until the children burst into their songs.
